About My PhotographyPhotography is one of my favorite hobbies. It's a chance to combine my knack for the technical and analytical with my love of aesthetics. While I'm nowhere near a professional photographer with all the gadgets and huge volume of work, I still take each photo fairly seriously, and feel ecstatic after having made a beautiful image (one that I can't stop looking at, and think, "Damn, that's cool!". It will appear through my work that I tend towards landscapes, but I think that only reflects my love of the outdoors and nature. You will also notice that I photograph important people in my life as well. I photograph what I love. And when I love what I photograph, the images usually turn out well - if I have my head on straight. ;) PLEASE look at my photos, and even tell me what you think. I very much enjoy the opinions of other people with a love for beautiful images. If you would like to use one of these photos for something - just ask. It's interesting to know what people are doing. A woman from Australia, who grew up in the northeast once asked me if she could put one of the images of Lye Brook Falls in a sort of life-history scrapbook for her daughter. How cool is that?! Why Not Mexico? View Thumbnails View SlideshowJen's all-to planned visit to New Mexico ended up being an appropriately ad-hoc ramble through the southwest due to bad weather predictions in the Gila Wilderness, and a brilliant suggestion by Kush - "There's always Mexico..." 
Finally, Skiing on Hurricane Ridge! View Thumbnails View SlideshowThis season, so much snow has been dumping that the road to the ridge has been closed most weekends. It's only open on weekends for the ski-area when they can get it plowed with the one plow they have. I lucked out and the weather this day was pristine! Fresh snow, mountians and blue sky is damn hard to beat!

Being limited with only a 180mm lense, I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out. And, they can be printed BIG. I made a 24"x29" Print of the sea-stack and it's beautiful - could probably go larger! |
