Lazy day. We got up late, and started our day hike towards Whitehead Peak around 11:00. Since this is all we were doing that day, we took it at a liesurely pace - which was good because I think I was actually feeling a little alititude sick - or something... We followed a trail leading up at the northwest end of the Verde Lakes basin, and after about 1/2 mile, the trail disappeared and it was yet again up tor our route-finding abilities. After not much time, we ascended Whitehead peak. While Whitehead Peak as not much of a peak, Just a round-top hill, Mount Rhoda, just to the north looked much more enticing. But because of threatening weather, we decided to head back to camp before any rain hit. The rain never hit us, but we were all rather content to be back at camp, taking naps, or playing "go-fish" - a first for some of our foreign friends ;)
